Peshawar lawyers boycott proceedings

PESHAWAR:

Lawyers in Peshawar are boycotted court proceedings as a mark of protest against the judicial policy on Saturday.


The call for strike was made by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council. Lawyers said the judicial policy had several glitches.


Lawyers boycotted all district and sub-courts and long queues of people could be seen outside the courts.


The federal courts employees in the district courts are also boycotting court proceedings for two hours, daily, demanding judicial and utility allowance.
