The couple, Shakir alias Shakeel and his wife Sakina alias Safeena, was found guilty of kidnapping the six-year-old son and five-year-old niece of their employer, Marvez Khan, and murdering the boy in Shah Faisal Colony in May 2013.
The additional district and sessions judge (East), Muhammad Ahsan Khan Durrani, also ordered the convicts to pay compensation of Rs100,000 each to the legal heirs of the deceased.

Separately, the judge also found Shakir guilty of subjecting the abducted girl to sexual assault. Therefore, handing down life imprisonment to him, he also imposed a fine of Rs50,000.
The court ruled that the case stood proved against both the accused persons beyond any shadow of doubt, as two neighbours of the complainant deposed since they saw the victims with the couple before the incident.
The girl was found in the custody of the couple and they also led a police party to recover the body of the boy, it added.

Shah Faisal police had registered a case under sections 302 (punishment for premeditated murder), 364-A (kidnapping or abducting a person under the age of 10), 377 (punishment for unnatural offence) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of deceased's father.
