Investors’ education: ACCA, SECP sign agreement

Under MoU, the organisations will jointly organise a series of seminars on investors’ awareness throughout Pakistan

LAHORE: The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has signed an agreement with the Securities and Exchange Commission Pakistan (SECP) for promotion of investors’ education. A joint statement issued on Friday said both the organisations shared a common vision of advancing public interest and were committed towards promotion of investor education and awareness. The MoU is expected to be a starting point of the relationship between the two entities and would be moving on to broader matters concerning general financial literacy in Pakistan. Under this agreement, the organisations will jointly organise a series of seminars on investors’ awareness throughout Pakistan as well as hosting local and global conferences which shall contribute to the investor education campaign.
