LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the authorities to conduct a comprehensive audit of all industrial estates especially the new ones. He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting on Thursday to review establishment of industries in industrial estates. “The objective of setting up industrial estates is to promote industries and create new job opportunities,” Shehbaz said while addressing the meeting. “They will consequently strengthen the economy.” He ordered the authorities to conduct a comprehensive audit of all industrial estates and taking legal action against those who fail to set up industries over their allotted plots. Shehbaz said vacant posts of the chief executive officers in industrial estates should be filled immediately.
