Fire in Lahore's Purana Mozang area claims three lives
The victims included a minor and her parents
LAHORE:
Three people, including a minor were killed in a fire incident in Lahore’s Purana Mozang area on Thursday morning.
According to a Rescue 1122 official, the victims died on the spot. The minor girl, along with her parents, was asleep when the fire broke out on the third floor of the building. The fire engulfed the house, causing the victims to be stranded inside. Rescue teams were called by witnesses.

The deceased were identified as Samina, Zahid and four-year-old Ayesha. All three sustained 100 per cent burns.
Speaking to The Express Tribune a Rescue 1122 official said that they received the call at 6:30 am, following which four vehicles were deployed to the scene of the incident. The victims were pronounced dead on the spot and were shifted to a morgue for autopsy. The rescue teams controlled the fire to prevent further damage.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained and police is said to be investigating the matter further.
