Hazara University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Idrees inaugurated the project by unveiling the plaque.
He said that the project would cost around Rs660 million which had been provided by the Higher Education Commission.
Expected to be complete within a year, the new building would host eight academic blocks and three departments.
These academic blocks would have 96 classrooms, 24 lecture rooms, and 10 laboratories.
Later the VC also inaugurated the Quranic Garden near the varsity. Part of the beautification and landscaping project, the garden would host different species of
fruits and plants which had been mentioned in the Holy Quran.
