MULTAN: The Punjab Agriculture department has earmarked Rs96.232 million for eradication of pink bollworm, whitefly and other pests from crops. Agriculture Department Spokesperson Naveed Asmat Kohloon said the department had called a meeting of working group on March 2 to discuss a strategy to counter the threat of pests. Eradication of pests was one of the recommendations for enhanced production of cotton suggested by experts.
