Pak-iran relations: Joint Border Commission meeting ends

The establishment of new frontier markets was also decided during the session

The 20th session of the Pak-Iran Joint Border Commission concluded in Chabahar, after three days, on Tuesday. According to details, the 26-member Pakistani delegation was headed by Chief Secretary Balochistan Saifullah Chatta, while the Iranian commission was headed by the Deputy Governor General of the Sistan Balochistan province Ali Asghar Mir Shikari. During the meeting, it was concluded that any incident taking place across the border would immediately be shared and investigations would be initiated to apprehend the culprits. The establishment of new frontier markets was also decided during the session to provide economic opportunities to the people. It has also been decided to create hotlines between the IG FC Balochistan and Commander Border Guard Sistan-Balochsitan for information sharing.
