Indian actor Priyanka Chopra presented a subtle yet elegant front at the 89th Academy Awards on Sunday, in a body-hugging white gown by popular designer Ralph & Russo.
This marked the second Oscar's appearance for the Quantico star, who opted for a white ensemble once again. Along with geometric detailing, the dress had a structured bodice which gave us a peek-a-boo glimpse of Priyanka's svelte figure. The actor paired it with towering ivory heels and bare minimum accessories, keeping the focus mainly on her dress.
While her overall look was largely lauded, popular Indian comedy group All India Backchod (AIB) compared it with kaju katli - sweetmeats made of cashew nuts. "This is great, we aren't forgetting our roots," AIB captioned a photograph of Priyanka with a plate full of the mithai, via their official Facebook account.
Last year, Priyanka chose a white embellished, strapless Zuhair Murad gown for the Oscars.
