PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) general secretary Sardar Hussain Babak has criticised Punjab government for maintaining ‘racial prejudice and disgraceful attitude’ towards Pashtuns in Punjab. Babak, who is the parliamentary leader of ANP in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly, submitted an adjournment motion in the house to hold debate on harassment and racial profiling of Pashtuns in Punjab in the name of security measures. Talking to The Express Tribune, Babak accused Punjab government of emulating the example of the US president. “Punjab government is following in the footsteps of Donald Trump with these racial and discriminatory policies,” Babak said, calling it a conspiracy against the federation. He alleged that Punjab government is spreading hatred among different ethnicities with its prejudicial behavior towards Pashtuns.
