ISLAMABAD: The door-to-door survey under Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is currently going on in Mirpur, AJK, Gilgit city of G-B, Mohmand Agency and the districts of Chakwal, Charsadda, Faisalabad, Killa Saifullah, Lakki Marwat, Layyah, Sajawal and Thatta.

The survey has been completed in Haripur, Sukkur, Bahawalpur and Naseerabad where 700,000 households were registered, Radio Pakistan reported.

The survey will help maintain a credible database of variations in economic conditions of people, enabling them to benefit from the government’s welfare schemes.

According to BISP head Marvi Memon, the discrepancies of the previous survey have been removed and BISP would make sure that no deserving woman was left out in the resurvey as directed by the PM Nawaz Sharif. She said that the GPRS enabled tablets would ensure that no deserving household gets missed during door to door survey.
