Afghans among 69 suspects detained in twin cities

RAWALPINDI/ ISLAMABAD: With combined combing operations continuing in the twin cities, as many as 69 suspects, including 14 Afghan nationals, were detained.

In Islamabad, police said they had conducted joint search operations at bus stands within the remits of Noon police station, Industrial area, and Sabzi Mandi.

Swat police arrest 20 suspected militants

A police spokesperson said that officials of Islamabad police, Rangers and other security agencies. During the search, 53 suspects were detained, including 14 Afghans. A pistol and two mobile phones were also seized during the search.

Meanwhile in Rawalpindi, where Rangers have been conducting a door-to-door combing operation, law enforcement agencies said they had detained over 16 suspects.
