ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Senior Vice President Asad Umar filed an amendment to the Islamabad Capital Territory Local Government Act in the National Assembly Secretariat on Friday. “I submitted Islamabad local government amendment bill today to align the LG law with the true spirit of the Constitution, and this is an act to rationalise and reorganise the local government system in federal capital,” the PTI MNA said. He added that the proposed amendments were necessary to devolve political, administrative and financial responsibility and authority to the elected representatives of the local government.
