ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) human resource development Directorate has directed officials to finalise all pending inquiries.

This was directed in a circular issued by the Human Resource Development Directorate (HRD) on Wednesday. It adds that a large number of fact-finding and formal inquiries are pending with CDA officers for a long time. It warned that inquiries pending for an extended period of time without any reason amounts to misconduct by the officers who are tasked with conducting those inquiries.

The circular adds that the competent authority had decided that in all cases where a formal inquiry had been pending for more than six months while a fact-finding inquiry had been pending for more than a month, the concerned chairman, member and member-cum-secretary of the inquiry committee shall be held responsible for inefficiency and misconduct under Chapter VIII of CDA Employees Service Regulation 1992.
