Pakistan grants US company $35m contract to manufacture MRAP vehicles

Production will take place in West Point, Mississippi, and Pakistan

Pakistan has granted a $35 million contract to a US company for manufacturing 40 mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP) MaxxPro Dash DXM vehicles.

The contract is given to Navistar Defence under US Foreign Military Sales Contract, according to IHS Jane's Defence Weekly.

The deal also includes manufacturing of various support items, contractors logistics and technical support services.

The manufacturing will take place in West Point, Mississippi, and Pakistan, and will be completed by October 31, 2018.
