Ex PCB legal adviser challenges termination

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has adjourned the hearing for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and former legal adviser Shan Gul until May 28.

The court also suspended the stay notice Gul had taken over his contract termination by the PCB. Gul, during his stint with the board, was appointed Assistant Advocate-General (AAG) and as a result his contract with the PCB was terminated since he was no longer eligible to represent the board in court.

Gul had filed a writ against the PCB for terminating his contract before its completion. “Since he was appointed AAG and was unable to represent PCB in any case before the court, his contract was terminated but he was compensated accordingly,” a source told The Express Tribune.
