Sehwan Attack Aftermath : Edward Maya concert postponed
Attack on Lal Shahbaz Qalandar's shrine has affected all activities in the country
KARACHI:
Romanian singer Edward Maya's performance that was scheduled to be held at Port Grand last Saturday, was postponed in the light of the tragedy incident in Sehwan. It would be an understatement to say that the attack on Lal Shahbaz Qalandar's shrine has affected all activities in the country, while the suicide blast has also taken a toll on cultural happenings. "We have delayed the concert to the first or second week of March now," co-organiser Atif Zubair told The Express Tribune. He cited Sehwan attack as the primary reason for the delay. "Secondly, the security agencies warned us. They said the next 72 hours were crucial and we must not take any risk," he added. Zubair said Maya left for Romania soon after this and they will announce new dates. "The concert that has been rescheduled for March will be a tribute to Pakistani people because whatever happens, we continue to be a resilient nation," Zubair said.
