QUETTA: Police arrested 62 Afghan nationals travelling without any legal documents in separate search operations across Quetta on Sunday.

The Afghans rounded up by the police were staying illegally in different parts of Quetta.

Those arrested were shifted to the Industrial, Sariab, New Sariab, Khaliqabad, Brewery, Shalkot and Kharotabad police stations.

They will be presented before a judicial magistrate for further legal action.

Meanwhile, a suspect was killed during a raid on a compound in the jurisdiction of Sariab Road police station.

Police also claimed to have recovered a Kalashanikov, two magazines and 29 rounds of ammunition from the compound. The body of the deceased was taken to the Civil Hospital for identification.
