Two brothers of key facilitator held in Bajaur

Both the suspects are siblings of Anwarul Haq, the main suspected facilitator in the blast who was arrested on Friday

In the wake of a fresh wave of terror unleashed on the country, security forces have nabbed two more suspects for their alleged involvement in the Lahore bomb blast, officials said on Saturday.

Both the suspects are siblings of Anwarul Haq, the main suspected facilitator in the blast who was arrested on Friday. The two brothers, identified as Khalilullah and Hamidullah, were picked up from Bajaur Agency. Security forces have confirmed the news of their arrest.  Several other residents of Bar Kalan village of Loi Mamond have also been detained for interrogation.

According to sources, Haq hails from the Suleiman Khel tribe and has been living in Lahore since 2010.


ATC approves remand of facilitator

An anti-terrorism court on Saturday handed over a facilitator of the Lahore Mall Road suicide bomber to the Counter Terrorism Department on a 30-day physical remand.

The court has directed CTD officials to present Anwarul Haq again before March 21 along with the investigation report. (With additional input from our correspondent in Lahore)
