KARACHI: Unidentified armed men snatched a government vehicle from the driver of Sajawal revenue department deputy commissioner Shahzad Faisal in Karachi on Saturday. The police officials said at least three armed men were behind the incident. They said that the suspects snatched a government’s black-coloured SUV from the driver at gunpoint from near Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim in Clifton within the limits of Boat Basin police station. However, Boat Basin DSP Fakharul Islam said the vehicle was later found within half an hour and it seemed that the snatchers dropped the car at a distance to avoid arrest, after getting to know that the vehicle had a government registration number. A case has been registered and further investigation is under way.
