Traffic problems

Letter February 19, 2017
Pedestrians aren’t safe while crossing roads, courtesy of irresponsible drivers

KARACHI: Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I want to draw the attention of the authorities concerned towards the traffic problems in our city. The unnecessarily occurring traffic issues in our city are leading to the rise of ever-increasing deadly road accidents. Traffic jams have become routine. Even pedestrians aren’t safe while crossing roads, courtesy of irresponsible drivers. A lack of the implementation of traffic laws is making roads death zones.

Not just that, but noise pollution has enveloped most cities of the country — it is especially a major concern around hospitals and schools. I urge the government to take immediate action against this serious matter.
