24 injured in cylinder blast inside house in DI Khan

Injured include women, children who were attending a funeral

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Around 24 people were injured on Saturday when a gas cylinder exploded during a funeral that was taking place at a house located in Dera Ismail Khan.

The injured mostly include women and children, the district police officer told the media. The house is located within the jurisdiction of Cantt police station.

The people were gathered at the house for a funeral, when the house collapsed due to the blast, he added.

The district administration rushed to the area and took the injured to the district head quarter hospital. According to the hospital management, 10 out of the 24 injured are in critical condition.
