Two girls kidnapped in Ghotki

The daughter of Khair Muhammad Sawand, resident of Sobdar Khuhawar village, was allegedly kidnapped by Nasrullah Malik

SUKKUR: Two teenage girls belonging to Malik and Sawand communities were kidnapped from Sobdar Khuhawar and Rehmoon Wali villages in Ghotki on Thursday. The 18-year-old daughter of Khair Muhammad Sawand, resident of Sobdar Khuhawar village, was allegedly kidnapped by Nasrullah Malik early Thursday morning, said residents. Instead of reporting the matter to the police, Khair Muhammad Sawand and other relatives broke into the house of Nisar Malik in Rehmoon Wali village and kidnapped his 17-year-old daughter and fled. Residents told reporters that Nisar Malik and Khair Muhammad Sawand had migrated from Kandhkot a couple of years back and were family friends. On Thursday, when Khair Muhammad Sawand’s daughter went missing, he blamed Nisar’s son, Nasrullah, for kidnapping her and, in retaliation, kidnapped Nasrullah’s sister.
