Who made the bigger fashion faux pas?

KARACHI: While everyone impatiently awaits Hollywood award ceremonies, they’re not just getting the butterflies because they’ve been hooting for their favourite celebrities to bag accolades. But, what us fashion enthusiasts are actually yearning for is which A-lister will turn heads on the red carpet and steal the limelight in breathtaking ensembles. This year’s Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) was no different.

While we witnessed a bevy of swoon worthy statement-making outfits, courtesy, Michelle Dockery and Emma Stone, we were also outraged by some major fashion faux pas on the occasion.  Here’s how Nicole Kidman and Kaley Cuoco bombed the red carpet.

It seemed as if though the Lion star came right out of the jungle. The emerald-green Gucci dress featured embellished shoulders that somewhat emitted a parrots-meet-peacocks kind of vibe – straight out unflattering to the eyes. The plunging neckline and flowing dress only added to the dramatic panache – but, it clearly didn’t save the day for Kidman. Gratefully, she had her hair tied in a neat updo, and didn’t opt for her usual messy hair look, which would make for an even bigger fashion disaster.

Kidman was not the only one to miss the mark big time at the SAG Awards. Picture Perfect actor Kaley Cuoco sadly looked anything but picture perfect. She clearly pushed the boundaries a bit too far in a multi-coloured dress that was an outright mush of all sorts of tacky looking fabrics and pastel hues. The additional lace details and feathers were even more appalling, extremely unnecessary and made the otherwise simple and elegant star look over-the-top.
