Premier Nawaz told the Afghan President that terrorism is a common enemy of both the states and such cowardly acts will not deter their resolve, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister House.
Separately, the Chinese government also condemned the deadly suicide bombing in Lahore. A statement issued by the Chinese Embassy said, “We condemn this terrorist attack and extend deep condolences to the victims.”
It added, “We honor the law-enforcement officials who sacrificed their lives in the explosion.” The statement said, “We express sincere sympathy to the families of the victims and hope the wounded recover at an early date.”
In Monday’s attack more than 13 people lost their lives when a suicide attacker rammed into a security picket at Chairing Cross in Lahore during a protest by chemists. (With additional input from APP)
