An anti-corruption court on Monday extended interim bails to 10 education board and directorate officials
KARACHI:
An anti-corruption court on Monday extended interim bails to 10 education board and directorate officials allegedly involved in a graft case. The ATC judge allowed the extension in bail to former chairpersons Anwar Ahmed Zai and Akhtar Ghori, former secretary Qazi Arshad, controller of examinations Imran Chishti and other officials of the intermediate education boards as well as of other boards till March 8. On January 10, the judge had approved bail applications of the accused after listening to a preliminary round of arguments by the defence and prosecution. Each nominee was asked to submit Rs50,000 as surety.
