Imran, who sustained bullet wounds, was shifted to the Mayo Hospital where his condition is said to be critical.

According to police reports, the motive behind the crime is said to be the newlywed bride's desire to marry someone of her own choice which led to Zehra being unhappy in the marriage.

The police have arrested the accused for her alleged involvement in the incident after a complaint had been filed against her by Imran's father for an attempt-to-murder case.
