Accountability time: Law enforcers arrest MQM MPA
Following his arrest in 2016, an investigation officer told the ATC judge that the MQM MPA had confessed to his crimes during interrogation.
His statements were also recorded before a judicial magistrate, said the investigation officer earlier.
Sources in the party had claimed that Farooqui was accused of being involved in the May 12 mayhem. They said he was also involved in the killings of a few members of Lyari’s notorious gangster Uzair Baloch group during their clashes with the then united MQM in 2012.
