Crackdown: Over 50 violators arrested in Pindi

Rawalpindi district police had acted on special directives from the Punjab government and City Police Officer

RAWALPINDI:
Rawalpindi police in its crackdown against kite sellers said that they had arrested 61 people and lodged 56 cases against them over the past two days. Moreover, officials said they had recovered 7,346 kites with 108 rolls of kite flying-string from their possession.

According to a police spokesman, the Rawalpindi district police had acted on special directives from the Punjab government and City Police Officer (CPO) Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi and conducted several raids around the garrison city and arrested kite sellers.


He said, the raids would continue to ensure implementation on the law of ban on kite flying.
