KARACHI: Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah approved Rs9.6 million for the renovation of Sindh Assembly deputy speaker Shehla Raza’s official bungalow. According to officials in the assembly, the amount was sanctioned by the CM on the request of Raza, who lives in a government bungalow on Stadium Road in KDA Scheme 1. This has irked opposition members in the assembly. “The main road passing along the bungalow is pathetic and commuters cannot travel on it but the government has allocated a huge amount for renovation of deputy speaker’s residence,” complained Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Faisal Subzwari.  “The government allocates funds for the repair and renovation of official residences,” said Sindh Assembly secretary GM Umer Farooq.
