Jalbani Baloch | 7 years ago | Reply @Haris: I add my voice to you and raise your demand for abolishing quota system and promoting merit culture throughout Pakistan. As for NED, quota is not allocated based on 60:40 ratio, on rural and urban basis, but seats are allocated under different categories (not to call quota), such as Karachi Board (major chunk of seats), Hyderabad Board, Sukkur Board, Larkana Board, Mirpurkhas Board, Overseas Students, Sponsors Seats, Real Sons of University Teachers, Sportsman Seats, LEJ Nominations, and etc. Further the students coming from boards of interior sindh are not all necessary to be Sindhis. So, please stop spreading hatred and let us promote love, peace and brotherhood amongst the permanent residents of Sindh.
Haris | 7 years ago | Reply My bad, I mistook the article assuming his friends (who tortured him to death) are also students of NED. Actually I had a flashback from my time where a very similar case had occurred. In this article, now I see that there is no need to even NED University. As for your comment regarding NED doesn't have a quota system, I don't agree, as they themselves call it quota seats in their catalogue. Regarding your opinion, that since NED is in Sindh then every Sindhi has right to study there, fully agree with that, but admissions should be purely on merit and equal opportunity should be given throughout Pakistan. I completely disagree to the concept where some preference could be given to someone on the basis of ethnicity, race, religion, etc. But its just my opinion, you could disagree.
