Security tightened: Gunmen abduct top FATA education official, son

LAKKI MARWAT: Gunmen kidnapped a senior education official of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas and his son when the two made a stopover at a hotel, the district police officer said on Saturday.

Mohibullah Dawar, deputy director of education in Fata, and his son were abducted from Kaliwal Hotel, which lies on the outskirts of the district, near the Indus Highway.

Police have not registered an FIR in the case as yet.

According to officials, a search operation is under way and security has been beefed up along the entry and exit points of the district.
