ABBOTTABAD: As part of the process to widen the Murree Road, the Abbottabad district administration and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa highway authority on Saturday removed around 18 encroachments from state land along the road.  Equipped with heavy machinery, the Abbottabad Assistant Commissioner Ruman Burhana, local police, and anti-encroachment squads of K-P Highway and TMA, razed down the extended concrete portions of 18 different structures. These included road-side eateries, malls and shops. Government’s revenue officials claimed that land measuring between four to 10 feet had been encroached from Jhugiyan to Nawanshehr Road.
