The application states that previously the autonomous agency would charge $100 to generate the Pakistan Origin Card (POC). However, there has been an increase in the fee to $150 and now it has reached Rs22,000, while the POC cancellation fee itself is Rs31,500.
The fee hike has led to overseas Pakistanis being discouraged from making the card.
