Due to the delay in the issuance of visa by the US Embassy in Islamabad, Hyderi is being denied the opportunity to participate in a UN sponsored event in New York, stated a press release issued by the senate.

"Hyderi was scheduled to travel to the US as part of a delegation comprising of Senator Hyderi and Lt General (retd) Salahuddin Tirmizi."
"The delegation was to attend Inter Parliamentary (IPU) hearings at the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York, USA, on February 13-14, 2017," the statement added.
Following the directions of chairman senate, the visit has been called off. Rabbani further ordered that no senate delegation will visit the US until an explanation to the delay in issuance of visa is given by the US government or the US embassy in Pakistan.

"No delegation, member of congress or diplomat of the US will be welcomed by the senate of Pakistan, senate standing committees and the senators in their official capacity till this issue is resolved," Rabbani said.
