ISLAMABAD:
A judicial magistrate on Friday granted police three-day physical remand of a cop who had allegedly shot a young man who drove through a picket in Sector I-10/1 on February 3. Judicial Magistrate Amir Khalil on Friday approved a request from the police to extend the physical remand of Samiullah, who was serving in police’s Eagle Squad.
Constable Samiullah and his colleague Tariq were manning a picket on IJP Road in Sector I-10/1. Taimoor Riaz and another woman, approaching in a Toyota Corolla car, were motioned to stop. But when they did not, Samiullah opened fire killing Riaz.
