LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the current year is the year of honouring the promises made to the people. A number of energy projects will be completed during the current year and load-shedding will be eliminated forever, he said while speaking to MNAs and MPAs, who called on him on Monday. The chief minister said three gas-powered projects would be completed within a record time period of 27 months and they would start generating electricity during the current year. He maintained electricity generated through the gas-fired projects would be provided to consumers at cheaper rates. He pointed out those levelling baseless allegations against the Sharif family should be held accountable for corruption. Shehbaz said the prime minister was working round-the-clock to steer the country out of the current crises.
