The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has agreed upon the terms and conditions of Dutch coach Michel van den Heuvel to retain him as the national hockey coach.
However, the final decision will be taken in the forthcoming PHF Executive Board meeting on March 16.
Last year Pakistan won a gold medal in the Asian Games under Heuvel’s leadership. But due to security concerns, the Dutch expressed reservations about keeping his post.
According to officials, the PHF is set to extend the deal until the 2012 London Olympics.
“The PHF will discuss the demands of the Dutch coach in the meeting prior to sending it to the Sports Ministry,” said a PHF official.
