Agriculture sector: 750 field assistants to be recruited

MULTAN: Punjab Agriculture Secretary Muhammad Mehmood said 750 field assistants would be recruited to promote agriculture sector in the province.

The induction of new field assistants would help improve agriculture commodities in the province. He said this while speaking to different delegations of farmers on Saturday.

The secretary informed the department had written a letter to Public Service Commission for recruitment of staffers.

He hoped the process of field assistants recruitment would be completed soon.

He said the revenue department had been instructed not to collect agriculture income tax.
