KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari summoned a meeting  Saturday evening of Pakistan Peoples' Party MPAs at the Bilawal House in Karachi.

Sources say that the agenda of the meeting is to discuss the situation regarding the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman case.

A strong reaction was shown by the PPP members on the sacking of NAB chairman, and a protest was held outside the Sindh Assembly on Friday. The party wants the NAB chairman to be re-appointed.

President Zardari also wrote a letter to the opposition leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani , asking for their opinion on the re-appointment of the NAB chairman.

The Chairman NAB Justice (retired) Syed Deedar Hussain Shah was sacked by the Supreme Court on Saturday.
