LANDI KOTAL: At least eleven people, including six women, were killed while as many were injured in two separate incidents in Khyber Agency on Wednesday.

“A pick-up was on its way from Landi Kotal area of Khyber Agency to Kam Shamlman of the same tribal agency, when the vehicle fell into a ravine,” a political administration official told The Express Tribune. As a result six people—five women and a child—were killed and three others were injured.

Meanwhile, an explosion in a house resulted in a roof collapse, killing four of a family and injuring three others.

The political administration confirmed that it was not an act of militancy but a landmine went off when they tried to defuse it.

The injured were taken to the Landi Kotal hospital and were stated to be out of danger.
