The festival promises to offer all season’s fresh flavours ranging from a diversity of desi cuisines to Continental, Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Thai), Turkish, Lebanese and Italian. The selection of cuisines is based on reviews and feedback of the highly active members of the food portal Foodies ‘R Us.
“We started Foodies ‘R Us purely for the love of food and to bring different people together on one platform. The food industry has experienced enormous growth in the past few years and with social media platforms like this, people have more awareness,” said Coke Food Festival spokesperson, Asad Sheikh. He is also the pioneer of Foodies ‘R Us.
Restaurant review: The pull of Paramount
The deliciously anticipated weekend won’t stop there as visitors will be able to taste the many culinary delights, cooked and supplied by local restaurateurs and top chefs. A diverse line-up of culinary talents and local chefs will be offering special festival menus.
The festival will also celebrate home-based chefs who will be bringing a range of their multi-generational secret family recipes, soul food and unique flavours to food lovers. “This Food Fest is an extension of a movement that started over social media; it’s a testament of not only our love for food but a continuous commitment of providing the best and diverse food experience to the people,” Sheikh added.
“We have actually sat down with food enthusiasts, vendors and critics from across the city to select a versatile mix of contemporary, commercial and traditional food businesses to cater to all tastes. It’s going to be a good party in the park for all, where we come together for the love of food.”
