20 men raid police station lock-up, free robber

SUKKUR: Twenty gunmen  attacked Ghouspur police station on Friday afternoon, overpowered the policemen and freed their imprisoned accomplice.

The Ghouspur police locked up Yasin Ogahi for his alleged involvement in a robbery in Ali Bux Ogahi village on Thursday night. Following the arrest, the men attacked the police station, broke the jail’s lock to free Oghai and fled. Heavy contingents of police raided and cordoned Ali Bux Ogahi village to conduct a house-to-house search but said they found nothing. Residents complained that the police ransacked their houses and misbehaved with them.
