LAHORE:
Serious doubts have emerged over allegations of torturing and shaving the head of a child maid against the relatives of a senior police official.

The mother of child maid Iqra had accused the in-laws of the Sheikhupura DPO Sarfraz Virk of torturing and shaving her daughter’s head. However, when Iqra was produced in court, her hair were intact and her body seemed to bear no marks of torture.

Speaking to The Express Tribune, DPO Virk said he did not stop the court bailiff from recovering Iqra and her sister from his in-laws’ residence. He alleged the girls’ parents were trying to blackmail the family.
