Criticism of CPEC: People urged to reject propaganda

ASTORE: People of Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) should not pay heed to the propaganda against China- Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), said G-B Chief Minister’s Special Assistant Abid Baig. Talking to the media, Baig said a handful of elements were misguiding the people about share of G-B in CPEC, whereas the region has been given top priority in the corridor project. He said the G-B government would not compromise on the rights of the local people and ensure that the ongoing projects were completed within stipulated time. Baig urged people not to pay attention to propaganda of rejected politicians and said that people should support government endeavours to make CPEC a success. He said political cohesion was required for successful implementation of CPEC.
