Patari's fourth installment, unveiled on Monday, left us floored as always.

A house-cleaner from Faisalabad knocked on his employer's door one day, asking him to listen to one of his songs. This very song became the reason Patari Tabeer was formed.

Tabeer project head Ahmer Naqvi narrated the events of the fateful day Nazar Gill walked up to him and asked him to listen one of his original songs. In a series of tweets posted by Ahmer, he narrates a tale that inspired him to start a project for the unrecognised talent of Pakistan.

Ahmer started off by tweeting, "Knock-knock." He then went on to say, "Those two words are usually the start of a bad joke. But they were also the start of #PatariTabeer. One day, after one of the Eids had just passed, there was a knock on the door of my flat in Islamabad. I looked out and saw Nazar, who used to work as a sweeper in that apartment building."

"As elite, upper class person, my first thought upon seeing him was that he must want his Eidi. I went to take some money out and then opened the door. To my surprise, Nazar asked if he could come inside." added Ahmer.

"When I started taking the money out, he got very flustered and waved it away. He sat down and told me that he had a feeling I worked with music, or that at least I enjoyed it. He then told me that he had a song that he had written, called Jugni." Ahmer recalled.

Ahmer also wrote how he could not find funding for the project back then, "My flat mate at the time was Mehdi Maloof, who himself went on to be featured in the #PatariAslis project with his breakout hit, Do Hi Rastay Hain. The two of us sat and listened to Nazar sing Jugni, and another song he had written about mothers. Back then, I promised Nazar I would get his song recorded, and I figured I would spend some of my own money and get it done by some cheap, cassette-making type studio."

"But several months later, when we suddenly had a donation for a project, it was Nazar's moment that helped inspire #PatariTabeer." wrote Ahmer.

Lauding Nazar's courage, Ahmer wrote, "I mean, imagine it for a second. How much courage it must have taken to walk up to someone from a class that treats you like sub-human, and offer to show them a part of your soul?"

"Every time this project got too hard, it was that realisation that helped us pull through and remember what was at stake here. Last Christmas, we went down to Faisalabad and into the village where he lived, and we had him and his entire family hear the audio of this song." he continued.

"It was one of the most beautiful moments I have had working on any job. I hope you like this song, and I hope Nazar ke khwab ki tabeer ho."

Jugni is a song about spiritual love, Nazar says in the video posted by Patari on their Facebook page.

Nazar, who hails from Faisalabad, collaborated with Farhan Zameer and Hassan Omar on Patari's latest offering. "Love should not be about empty words, it should be true." he says in the video.
