PESHAWAR: Areas bordering Frontier Regions (FRs) have been freed of anti-state elements, the prime minister’s adviser Amir Muqam told a gathering of PML-N activists at Matani on Sunday. Criticising PTI chief Imran Khan for comparing himself with the prime minister, he said: “This (peace) is what Nawaz Sharif has achieved. Don’t even try to compare yourself with the premier.” Muqam insisted that successful military operations under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, peace had returned across the country and there was a visible change between Karachi and Khyber (referring to the Pak-Afghan border at Torkham). He also said that since the day the prime minister was sworn-in, he had been working for developing the country whether it be motorways, railways, metro buses or the CPEC, adding that in addition to other achievements, the prime minister had put the national economy on the right track.
