Talking to Express News, Waqar alleged that he had gone for dinner at a local café in Karachi when a group of young men and women started filming him. “I told them that I would also make their video and if they are making it and how they feel if it gets spread on social media,” he said.

Later, Waqar claimed, he was asked to come outside the café where he was beaten up by a guy named Junaid surrounded by around 12 gunmen.

After the incident, a few people came forward and claimed the incident was part of a bet and they wanted to replicate what Waqar does in his shows.

“Staffers of the café have also confirmed to me that these people were tracking me for past two days,” Waqar claimed.

The TV anchor said he will start a case against the culprits having talked to SHO Clifton Police Station Faisal Khan.

“I have filed the FIR and will wait here till Junaid Haider is arrested,” he said.

“I had plans to go to Syria but now I will fight here so that the culture of such violence ends. One thing is certain: He and I are going to spend this night in the lock up,” he added.

In another video which also went viral, Waqar Zaka can be seen talking about a certain girl on social media platform, Snapchat.

“Your good friend... is sitting here at...with a boy in front of her and has been staring at me. I’m considering whether I should go or not, hope he’s not her boyfriend,” laughed the TV show host in the video.

Babar | 7 years ago | Reply He deserves a beating to make him realize to show some respect to the feminine gender on his shows. Shameful for the producer permitting.
