Appraisal: IP board to review headway made in cases

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police (IP) have constituted three special boards to review the progress on the investigation of cases, which would have the ability to summon all parties of any case to appear along with the designated investigation officer.

The police source said that the first board would be headed by SSP Operations which would review the request of the applicants asking to transfer the investigation of their respective cases to another officer or wing.

This board would also include Zonal SP, SDPO Circle and the SHO of the respective police station.

Furthermore, the board would review the reason behind the request to transfer the investigation which may be under the influence of one party, corruption, the poor performance of investigator or ineffective techniques.
