Indian fishermen arrested for violating territorial waters

The Maritime Security Agency arrested 26 Indian fishermen for violating territorial waters of Pakistan.


The fishermen were caught wandering into the territorial waters in six boats carrying 26 crew members.


They were handed over to the dockyard police for initiating legal proceedings against them.


Scores of Indian and Pakistani fishermen are languishing in the jails of the neighbouring countries for intentional or unintentional violation of territorial waters.
